Kliprivier SAPS arrest 29 during weekend operations

Weekend crime operations saw multiple arrests as law enforcement intensifies efforts to stop illegal activities in the Sedibeng district.

The Kliprivier SAPS arrested 29 people during crime prevention operations from May 16 to 18.

The arrests stemmed from various offenses, including

• driving under the influence of alcohol;

• being in the country illegally;

• harbouring illegal immigrants;

• possessing illicit cigarettes.

These arrests are part of ongoing efforts by the Kliprivier SAPS and broader Sedibeng district policing teams to combat crime and maintain law and order in local communities.

All those arrested suspects will soon appear in various magistrate’s courts in and around the Sedibeng district to face their respective charges.

Station commander Lieutenant Colonel IJ Mofokeng commended the officers involved for their dedication.

Community members are urged to remain vigilant and co-operate with law enforcement to enhance the safety and security of the Sedibeng district.
