Quick response foils theft at Alberton North filling station

CPS Security reaction officers apprehended a suspect after a panic signal was triggered, leading to the recovery of stolen items and the arrest of two men.

A theft was foiled in Alberton North on July 21, when two men arrived at a filling station in a silver Opel Corsa.

The driver of the vehicle stole several items, but the reaction officers of CPS Security responded quickly to a panic signal and apprehended the suspect.

The control room alerted Alberton SAPS, and the owner of the filling station opened a case.

The suspects were handed over to the authorities, and the stolen items were recovered and returned to their rightful owner.

Alberton SAPS station commander Colonel Olven Letloenyane outlined the importance of security.

“Security companies are helpful when responding promptly to cases like this. The suspects will remain in custody as they are charged with theft,” said Letloenyane.
