A Fox Security reaction officer on routine patrol in Randhart on January 12 spotted a suspect stealing electricity cables.

Thanks to the officer’s swift action, the suspect was caught and turned over to the Alberton SAPS for further investigation of the cable theft incident.

The incident highlights the effectiveness of private security patrols in arresting criminals.

Alberton SAPS will investigate cable theft in the area.

“The suspect was arrested and will be questioned about others involved in cable theft,” said Captain Sekgobela of the Alberton SAPS.
