It was day two of Bekker’s cross-examination, where the State prosecutor poked holes into accused two’s (Bekker) testimony before the court.
The prosecutor’s focus was on the stolen vehicles from the deceased’s Verwoerdpark home.
@albertonrecord Asked who was travelling to the buyer’s place when one of the vehicles was to be sold, Bekker (accused two) said: “My mother and Anthony, and them had gone in the Lexus. We had had another transport. Mr Schoeman (accused one) had a vehicle, I’m not sure on the model: It was myself, Cheslin and Mr Schoeman,” said Bekker. Full story on albertonrecord.co.za

“I have to tell you that you now testify that Mr Schoeman introduced your mum to Adam (intended buyer). This is new. We never heard that before. Not from yourself or accused number one. I put it to you that your version evolves as you’re standing there. You keep on changing your version,” said State advocate Carien Mulder.
@albertonrecord “I put it to you, ma’am that the reason there’s this difference between you and accused number one is that things didn’t happen the way that you are testifying. There was never any agreement by your mother to sell these vehicles. That is you and Mr Schoeman misleading the court. You and Mr Schoeman sold these vehicles to sustain drug habits,” said Mulder in a fiery voice. Full story on albertonrecord.co.za
Mulder went on to accuse Schoeman and Bekker’s alleged drug use as a possible motivation for the theft of the vehicles from the deceased’s Alberton home.
