Councillor to give update on service delivery status and planned budget

Clr Thavha Maifala-Masebe invites Brackenhurst and Brackendowns residents to a public meeting on April 23.

Ward 38 Clr Thavha Maifala-Masebe will address residents of Brackenhurst and Brackendowns on service delivery challenges in the ward, as well as taking them through the planned budget.

At the meeting, the councillor will provide input on issues raised with the council, as well as the status of those matters and the new budget, which is likely to be tabled in May. It will include a presentation of the new tariffs and contributions made on behalf of Ward 38.

This meeting will be on April 23 from 18:30 to 20:00 at the Bracken Park Community Hall.

The meeting is held in accordance with the legislative obligation that councillors hold public meetings regularly to keep citizens up to date on council business. Furthermore, to advocate for responsiveness in the ward, the councillor continues to convene these sessions monthly rather than the obligatory quarterly meetings.
