A festival of flavours awaits

Visitors to the Johannesburg World Festival of Food and Drink can look forward to taking a journey through 16 authentic international street cafés and taverns.

Anything from flavourful Mediterranean cuisine to delights from Asia are on offer at the street cafés and taverns at this 11-day extravaganza of international food and drink which runs until May 5.

In addition, there is also the opportunity to explore the festival wine route, pop past Brewer’s Lane which boasts a wide range of local beers, gins and ciders and see what’s new at the What’s Trending exhibition.

Alberton residents Annzuette Erasmus and Roelof van Heerden were among the first guests to enjoy all the culinary delights and were caught while tucking into what is on offer at the German street café

The festival is happening at level five of Emperors Palace parkade, and is open between 11:00 and 23:00 on May 1, 4 and 5, while on weekdays the festival will be open from 16:00 to 23:00. Tickets are available at TicketPro.
