Spread love and kindness this Valentine’s Day by donating blood

Celebrate Valentine's Day by giving the gift of life through blood donation.

This Valentine’s Day, the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) is calling on all South Africans to show their love and kindness by donating blood.

With a simple donation, you can save up to three lives and make a lasting impact on your community.

Thandi Mosupye, senior manager of marketing, communication, and brand at SANBS, encourages everyone to get involved.

“Donating blood is a profound act of love and kindness that ensures hospitals have the life-saving resources they need,” said Mosupye

How You Can Get Involved:

1. Donate blood: Visit your nearest SANBS blood donation centre or mobile blood drive to donate blood. The process is quick, simple, and safe.

2. Organise a blood drive: Host a blood drive with your community, workplace, or school. Together, we can make a difference.

3. Spread the word. Share the message on social media using #LoveYourCommunity and encourage others to donate.

Visit sanbs.org.za or contact 0800 119 031 to find out where you can donate blood and make a difference this Valentine’s Day.

Follow SANBS on social media to stay updated.
