Warm gesture from Alberton organisation supports school
Social Upliftment Project donates blankets to Eqinisweni Secondary School as part of its winter initiative
An Alberton-based organisation, the Social Upliftment Project, recently donated a number of blankets to Eqinisweni Secondary School as part of its winter relief initiative.
The donation forms part of the Warm Hearts winter blanket drive, which aims to support vulnerable senior citizens and needy families during the colder months.
Although the drive has officially closed, any blankets still delivered to the project’s collection partners will be accepted and kept in reserve for late or emergency requests.
“This journey, while challenging, has been incredibly rewarding,” said team leader Jayce Moodley. “In line with our values, we made a conscious decision not to encourage monetary donations but to focus on the direct donation of blankets.”
Eqinisweni Secondary School expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organisation and to Moodley for their contribution.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the generous donations of blankets to our learners,” the school stated. “Your kindness and thoughtfulness have brought warmth, both literally and emotionally, to many young lives.
“During times when comfort is needed most, your support makes a meaningful difference. Your contribution not only helps meet a practical need but also reminds our learners that there are people who care about their well-being and future.”
The Social Upliftment Project continues to encourage community support and looks forward to future initiatives that make a direct impact on those in need.
