Brackenhurst Primary learners lit up the school with festive civvies and generous food donations, supporting the Ulihlathi Lethu Community Outreach through a joyful early Christmas drive.

Brackenhurst Primary School embraced the festive spirit early this year, hosting a heart-warming Christmas Food Drive.

The atmosphere buzzed with generosity as learners arrived in colourful Christmas civvies, each carrying a donated food item for the Ulihlathi Lethu Community Outreach.

Each grade contributed specific items, resulting in an impressive collection of maize meal, rice, tinned meat and fruit, biscuits, porridge, cordial, and other essentials.

The initiative aimed to support families in need while teaching learners the value of compassion and giving.

The school grounds were filled with excitement and creativity as children dressed as shepherds, wise men, Mary and Joseph, angels, elves, Santas, and even a few Christmas trees.

Learners enjoyed the day, knowing their contributions would make a meaningful difference. Members of Ulihlathi Lethu expressed sincere thanks, highlighting the school’s continued support and community-minded spirit.

The drive once again showcased the power of unity and kindness, reminding all involved of the true meaning of Christmas.
