Ward 38 councillor to host meeting
Ward 38 councillor, Clr Thavha Maifala-Masebe, will host a Ward Committee Meeting and Recognition Ceremony on February 10.
The event will start at 18:00 at the Alberton Civic Centre, 4th Floor, Old Council Chamber, to honour outstanding community contributors in Ward 38.
The event will recognise individuals and organisations who have played a meaningful role in strengthening safety and education and in uplifting the community. These include representatives from the CPF, the SAPS, community volunteers, and top-performing matric learners.
The ceremony is about acknowledging the people who go above and beyond to serve the community of Brackenhurst and Brackendowns. Their commitment helps build a safer, more caring, and more resilient Ward 38.
By recognising the good work is one of the ways we can inspire even greater community participation.
As part of the meeting, the ward councillor will also provide feedback and a way forward for addressing ongoing issues in the ward. In line with the councillor’s commitments since the start of the current term, the meeting also seeks to encourage continued collaboration among residents, civic structures, and law enforcement organisations.
All Ward 38 residents are invited to attend and celebrate local excellence and service.
Residents are encouraged to attend and show their appreciation to those who contribute positively to the community.
