Raceview liquor store backs up Stepping Stone charity golf day
By backing initiatives such as the Charity Golf Day, the store continues to give back to the community that has supported it for nearly 40 years.
After nearly four decades of serving the Alberton community, Kipling Liquor Store in Raceview has once again demonstrated its commitment to local causes by donating alcohol to support Stepping Stone Hospice’s upcoming charity golf day.
The store, which has been operating for 39 years, contributed liquor that will be used as prizes at the Hospice’s annual fundraising event taking place at Reading Country Club on May 7.
The much-anticipated golf day raises important funds to sustain the Hospice’s patient care, counselling services and family support programmes.
Stepping Stone Hospice, a 5-Star APCC-accredited NPO based in New Market Park, provides specialised palliative care to individuals living with life-limiting illnesses.
The organisation relies heavily on community partnerships and fundraising initiatives to continue delivering its essential services.
In a statement, the hospice expressed its gratitude:
“There are businesses, and then there are pillars of a community, and Kipling Liquor Store is undoubtedly the latter. For 39 years, this beloved local store has been a fixture in Raceview, and time and again, they show up for the people and causes that matter most.
“We are so incredibly grateful that they have chosen to support Stepping Stone’s upcoming golf day, and we simply couldn’t let that go without saying a very public and very sincere thank you.
“It is the generosity of supporters like Kipling Liquor Store that makes everything we do possible, from the care we provide every single day to special events like the one we have coming up, and we are truly touched by their kindness.”
The Hospice is encouraging community members and businesses to become part of the fundraising event by booking a four-ball or sponsoring a marketing hole. The event offers an opportunity to showcase businesses to a targeted audience of local entrepreneurs, business owners and community leaders.
