Venue shift confirmed as organiser moves Easter convoy to Brackendowns SAPS
Organiser Natasha Stapelberg has announced a key venue change for Alberton’s Easter Drive Convoy, with the colourful community procession now set to depart from Brackendowns SAPS on Apri 3.
The Alberton community is preparing for a joyful and family-friendly Easter celebration as the Easter Drive Convoy rolls out from its newly confirmed departure point at Brackendowns SAPS on April 3, promising colour, community spirit and plenty of smiles.
Participants will gather at Brackendowns SAPS at 11:00, with the convoy scheduled to depart at 12:00, taking to the streets in a vibrant procession of festively decorated vehicles.
Residents are encouraged to dress up their cars with Easter-themed decor and bring their families for what is expected to be a lively, heartwarming event.
The initiative aims to strengthen community spirit while spreading joy to local children, thousands of whom are set to receive Easter eggs along the route.
Each participating vehicle is requested to contribute one box of Easter eggs, which will be distributed to children during the convoy.
Organisers have welcomed additional donations, noting that increased contributions will allow even more children to benefit from the initiative.
Beyond the treats, the event seeks to create lasting memories and foster unity within the community over the Easter period.
Organised by Natasha Stapelberg, the event has already generated excitement, with residents urged to get involved and help make the day special for local children.
