Doxa Deo Alberton hosts clothing outreach for homeless community

Residents are encouraged to donate clothes, shoes and volunteer their time at the upcoming StreetStore event in Alberton, aimed at helping homeless people with dignity and care

The Doxa Deo Alberton congregation will host a StreetStore outreach event on May 30 to provide clothing and support to homeless community members in Alberton.

The event will take place at Ligstad (Eeufees Church), situated at 32 Van Riebeeck Avenue in Alberton North, from 08:00 to 13:00.

StreetStore is an initiative focused on helping homeless people by giving them access to clean clothing and shoes in a dignified shopping-style environment.

Community members are encouraged to get involved by donating clean clothes and shoes, hosting drop-off points or volunteering on the day.

The outreach is about showing care and restoring dignity to vulnerable people within the community.
