Royal Schools Alberton community unites to support Gift of the Givers

Learners, parents and staff at Royal Schools Alberton collect hundreds of canned food items and non-perishable goods in support of Gift of the Givers and families facing food insecurity

The Royal Schools Alberton community recently concluded a Food Drive in support of Gift of the Givers, bringing together learners, parents and staff from the preschool, primary school and high school phases to make a difference in the lives of those in need.

Through the generosity of the school community, hundreds of canned goods and other non-perishables were collected and officially handed over to Gift of the Givers.

The donation will assist families experiencing food insecurity and provide relief to vulnerable communities.

The initiative formed part of the school’s ongoing commitment to community service and social responsibility. Learners were encouraged to participate in a cause that not only supported others but also taught them the importance of compassion, generosity and active citizenship.

School representatives expressed gratitude to every family that contributed to the campaign, noting that the overwhelming support reflected the caring spirit of the Royal Schools Alberton community.

The school said it looks forward to continuing initiatives that inspire kindness and encourage learners to make a positive impact in society.
