Alberton residents called on to support winter clothing and blanket drive

Eden Park resident and Miss Face of Gauteng 2025 first runner-up, Keesha Williams, is once again using her platform to make a difference by launching a winter donation drive aimed at bringing warmth and hope to vulnerable community members.

Keesha Williams, who was recently crowned Charity Queen for the third time, is appealing to residents, businesses and organisations to support the initiative by donating winter clothing, blankets and other essential items.

The campaign, themed ‘Let’s warm hearts this winter’, seeks to collect new or gently used jackets, sweaters, hoodies, scarves, gloves, socks and blankets for those struggling to cope with the cold winter months.

For Williams, community service has always been close to her heart.

Through her pageant journey, she has consistently championed charitable causes and believes that even small acts of kindness can have a meaningful impact on the lives of others.

The donation drive is open to people of all ages, with winter clothing needed in various sizes. Monetary contributions are also welcome and will help the initiative reach more people in need.

In addition to donations, Williams is inviting businesses, organisations and community groups to collaborate with the project to expand its reach and assist as many families as possible.

“Every donation, every item and every heart matters. Together, we can bring warmth and hope to those who need it most,” said Williams.

The final day for donations is July 1.

Residents wishing to contribute are encouraged to contact Williams at 069 367 8918 for collection arrangements or further information.
