Happy Hearts learners help keep Alberton SPCA animals warm this winter
Happy Hearts Educare learners and parents donated blankets to the Alberton SPCA, helping keep animals warm this winter while supporting local animal welfare efforts.
A donation drive at Happy Hearts Educare has helped provide warmth and comfort to animals in the care of the Alberton SPCA during the cold winter months.
The school donated older blankets to the Alberton SPCA on June 13, with learners and parents working together to support the initiative.
According to principal Chanè Alberts, the blankets were gratefully received by the SPCA team.
“The Alberton SPCA expressed their excitement and appreciation for the donation. They shared that these blankets will help keep many furry paws warm during the cold winter days and nights ahead,” said Alberts.
She thanked the Happy Hearts families whose generosity made the donation possible.
“The success of this initiative would not have been possible without the kindness and generosity of our Happy Hearts parents.
“We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to each family who contributed and helped make a difference in the lives of animals in need,” she said.
Alberts also acknowledged Charmaine and the Alberton SPCA staff for their dedication to animal welfare.
“We would also like to thank Charmaine and the dedicated staff at the Alberton SPCA for the incredible work they do every day in caring for and protecting animals within our community,” she added.
The school encouraged community members who would like to assist the Alberton SPCA to consider donating puppy and kitten food, which is currently needed to support the care of vulnerable animals.
Alberts said the initiative reflects the school’s values.
“At Happy Hearts Educare, we believe that teaching children compassion and kindness towards animals is an important life lesson, and we are proud to have been able to contribute to such a worthy cause,” she said.
