Alberton Methodist Church to host annual knit-a-thon for mommy care bags

Alberton Methodist Church Women’s Auxiliary is inviting the community to its annual Knit-a-thon, where knitting, fellowship and fundraising will help support mommy care bag projects.

Alberton Methodist Church Women’s Auxiliary is calling on community members to join its annual knit-a-thon on July 11 at 10:00 in the church foyer.

The event will take place at Alberton Methodist Church, 17 Heidelberg Road, Newmarket Estates.

The event aims to bring people together for a morning of knitting, fellowship and giving back while raising support for the church’s mommy care bag projects, which provide essential items for mothers and their newborn babies.

Whether you are an experienced knitter or simply want to support the initiative, everyone is welcome to attend and take part.

Visitors can also enjoy delicious soup and rolls, while pancakes will be on sale for R6 each.

The church encourages the community to come along, connect with others and contribute to a project that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of local families.
