Salvation Foundation appeals for donations to continue changing lives

Salvation Foundation is calling on the community, businesses and individuals to partner with the organisation to help continue its mission of bringing hope, dignity and practical support to vulnerable people.

Based in Brackendowns, the registered non-profit organisation provides approximately 600 nutritious meals every week to people in need across the area.

Every Monday, volunteers serve meals to homeless people in Alberton North. On Wednesdays, the organisation provides meals for job seekers in Brackendowns, while Fridays are dedicated to feeding children in the Eikenhof township.

Each week, the foundation reaches about 200 adults and 350 children, ensuring that those facing difficult circumstances receive a warm meal and compassionate support.

The organisation’s work extends beyond its feeding programmes. Salvation Foundation also donates stationery to rural schools, provides sanitary packs to girls in need, supplies party packs for children battling illness, and distributes Easter treats and Christmas gifts to underprivileged children.

The foundation is appealing for financial contributions, as well as donations of food, stationery, hygiene products, and gifts, to help expand its reach and continue supporting vulnerable families throughout the year.

“Every contribution, no matter how big or small, helps us bring hope, restore dignity and make a lasting impact, one meal, one child and one family at a time,” said Ryan Ellapan.
