WATCH: Pace for Purpose supports Hospice with generous donation
Pace for Purpose has made a meaningful contribution to Stepping Stone Hospice by donating essential supplies collected during its latest community walk.
Stepping Stone Hospice has received a welcome donation of essential supplies from Alberton-based community initiative Pace for Purpose, following its latest community walk held on July 26.
Instead of raising money, Pace for Purpose encourages participants to bring a few items from a beneficiary’s wish list.
A large collection of toiletries, nappies, non-perishable food items and cleaning supplies was handed over to the hospice.
The donation will help Stepping Stone continue providing compassionate care and support to its patients and their families.
Pace for Purpose founder Leani Mallalieu said the initiative was created to connect people who want to help with organisations that are already making a difference.

“We believe that when everyone gives a little, together we can make a big impact. It’s not about one person, it’s about a community coming together to support those who need it most,” said Mallalieu.
Stepping Stone Hospice founder Tersia Burger expressed her gratitude for the community’s support.
“We are incredibly thankful to Leani and everyone involved in Pace for Purpose for choosing Stepping Stone as one of their beneficiaries. Every item donated helps us care for our patients with dignity and compassion. It is encouraging to see our community unite in such a practical and meaningful way,” said Burger.
The initiative’s motto, ‘Run for Faith. Run for Purpose. Run Together’, reflects its mission of bringing people together through simple acts of kindness.
