Social Upliftment Project launches cancer care donation drive
Social Upliftment Project is helping financially vulnerable cancer patients to Alberton community by donating essential ostomy care supplies free of charge to eligible residents.
The Social Upliftment Project (SUP) has launched a Cancer Care Initiative to provide free ostomy care supplies to individuals in need living in the Alberton community.
The initiative aims to support eligible residents who are not on medical aid and who require essential medical supplies following cancer treatment or related medical procedures.
Items currently available include:
• 60 click ostomy bags
• 60 elastic ostomy base plates
• 25 click ostomy base plates
• 150 adhesive remover wipes
• 120 skin barrier wipes
According to the organisation, the donated items will be shared equally among those in need, with priority given to people who are financially vulnerable.
The project hopes the initiative will ease the financial burden many cancer patients face while ensuring they have access to the essential products needed for their daily care and well-being.
