An unidentified man died after being struck by a silver Hyundai near Grey Avenue on Monday night, according to the EMPD.
An unidentified man was killed after being struck by a vehicle on the N3 southbound in Alberton, near Grey Avenue, on Monday night.
According to the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD), the pedestrian was struck by a silver Hyundai and sustained serious injuries.
He was declared dead at the scene.
The EMPD Freeway Unit and emergency medical services responded to the incident, with two right lanes affected while emergency personnel managed the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
The EMPD urged motorists to reduce their speed, remain alert when travelling near emergency scenes and exercise caution on the roads.
