Life Brackenview promotes mental health awareness with Alberton fun walk
The initiative encouraged community connection, kindness and emotional well-being as part of Mental Health Month.
Life Brackenview brought a message of care, connection and mental health awareness to the streets of Alberton during a fun walk held as part of Mental Health Month.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about mental health and the importance of emotional well-being, while encouraging community members to support one another through life’s challenges.
“At Life Brackenview, we believe that building a caring community starts with small acts of kindness, genuine connections, and reminding one another that no one has to face life’s challenges alone,” the team said.
Warm community response
The community welcomes the walk warmly, with passing motorists greeting participants with friendly smiles and enthusiastic hooting.
According to Life Brackenview, these moments of connection made the experience even more special, demonstrating the impact of coming together to support a common cause.
The team encouraged residents to continue looking out for one another, listening without judgement and creating a community where everyone feels valued, understood and supported.
“Your mental health matters, your feelings matter, and you matter,” the statement read.
