Floral-themed Mother’s Day event brings joy to Creative Academy moms

Creative Academy Preschool and Baby Centre and The School of Excellence treated mothers to a special Black-and-White Florist Boutique-themed celebration filled with love, laughter and heartfelt tributes.

A morning of love, laughter, and floral beauty was shared as mothers gathered for a special Mother’s Day celebration at a unique Black-and-White Florist Boutique-themed event.

The occasion celebrated our incredible mothers and the roles they play in our children’s lives.

“Like flowers, mothers make the world more beautiful simply by being in it,” said Sara Gomes from the school.

Principal Tyla-Jade Botha said, “Motherhood is so much like a flower garden. When we look at flowers, no two are ever the same. Some are bold and bright, others soft and delicate.

Some bloom quickly; others take time. Yet every single one carries beauty because it was created by God with intention. In the same way, every mother is uniquely designed by Him, with different gifts, personalities, strengths, and stories.

“In The Book of Ezekiel 31:4, it says: ‘The waters nourished it; deep springs made it grow’. What we pour into something determines how it grows. Just as water nourishes a tree, the love, prayers, encouragement, discipline, and faith a mother pours into her child become the roots that anchor them for life.

“Sometimes mothers give and give until they feel weary, like a flower stem bending under the weight it carries. Yet the sacrifice is never in vain.

“A flower’s stem may not be the part everyone notices first, but it is what stands tall, supports the petals, and carries nourishment to every part of the bloom. Mothers are often like that stem, holding everything together quietly, faithfully, sacrificially.

“And even when seasons feel exhausting, what mothers sow leaves a lasting fragrance: the fragrance of faith, the colourful petals of peace, the seeds of kindness and the fruit of their labour become a legacy for generations.

“But flowers cannot bloom without the right ingredients. They need sunlight, water, healthy soil, and care. Mothers need the same spiritually. To truly flourish, they must seek the Kingdom of God first, protect their peace, and fuel their faith daily. A flower cannot pour out beauty if its roots are dry, and neither can a mother continually pour into others without first being filled by God.

“When a mother stays rooted in Christ, she blooms with strength, wisdom, grace, and love and those around her flourish too.

“So today, we honour every mother, grandmother, stepmother, and godmother. Thank you for every unseen sacrifice, every whispered prayer, every comforting embrace, and every seed planted in faith. Your blooming has touched lives more than you know,” said principal Botha.

Sara Gomes added, “In a world that’s black and white, beam with boldness and brightness. And may you remember this: Even in seasons where you feel like you are withering, God is still producing beauty through you.”
