Birthday outreach brings hope to Foundation of Life Academy
Instead of celebrating with a traditional party, Nondumiso Mbangula marked her birthday by donating meals, gifts and financial support to learners at Foundation of Life Academy in Thokoza.
A birthday celebration became an opportunity to give back when Nondumiso Mbangula marked the occasion by spending the day with learners at Foundation of Life Academy in Thokoza on July 10.
Instead of hosting a traditional birthday party, Mbangula chose to celebrate by supporting the academy and its learners through a day of generosity, bringing meals, refreshments, gifts and meaningful interaction to the children.
The outreach also included a financial donation to help the academy meet some of its immediate needs and continue providing a supportive learning environment for its learners.
Foundation of Life Academy principal Dinono Mohau Mokhatsane became emotional as she thanked Mbangula and everyone who helped make the day possible.

“Today was more than just a visit. It reminded us that there are people who genuinely care about our children and their future. Your kindness has touched our hearts, and we are truly grateful,” she said.
The learners embraced the celebration with excitement, enjoying the activities, food and gifts while spending time with their visitors. Their smiles and enthusiasm reflected the positive impact of the outreach.
For Mbangula, the celebration was about more than marking another birthday.
It was an opportunity to give hope, encourage compassion and show the importance of supporting children within the community.
Mbangula also thanked everyone who contributed through donations, encouragement, and support, saying that every contribution helped make the day memorable for the learners.
“A birthday is not only about celebrating another year of life. It is also an opportunity to share blessings, spread hope and make a positive difference in the lives of others,” said Mbangula.
