Homeless are taking over the streets

It seems that homeless people are taking over Alberton, especially Alberton North, CBD and New Redruth.

This is not exaggerating the issue. Near one of the bigger businesses in Alberton, there is vacant land where many of these people now live and word on the street is they are high on drugs and injecting themselves with the same needle.

There is also a drug called nyaope that many of these people are all high on these days.

In Clinton Road, there are now many male beggars going around harassing everybody, begging for money and fighting with people if they do not help them. They also sleep nearby on the street making it unsafe and unbearable.

Alberton North has got drug gangs living on the streets making the area dangerous to the community and town. This has been going on for a long time already.

The drug problem in Alberton is getting out of hand. There is apparently a man selling drugs at the taxi rank near Padstow Street and allegations are that police know about him, but he still gets away with it.

This is affecting Alberton negatively and the children are going to get sucked into this.

I am sure if I know these things, hearing from people living in these areas, the people should know about it and something must be done about this problem that is just being ignored.

Please do something otherwise Alberton will become like Johannesburg’s inner city as well as other central business districts in other towns that are running with crime syndicates ruling them.
