Alberton’s first post-lockdown road race

The Alberton 10km Road Race will be taking place on November 8.

The race is proudly the first road race to take place in Gauteng since the lockdown restrictions have been lifted.

The race is the perfect opportunity for runners to return to competitive racing in the limited time left in 2020.

Please note that only pre-entries will be allowed as the space in the race is limited to 500 competitors. Runners over the age of 15 can enter. Unfortunately, grandmasters will not be able to compete due to Covid-19 regulations.

“We encourage people to take on this unique opportunity,” said Anton Ferreira from Alberton Athletics Club. “Join us and legendary athletes, such as Comrades legend Bruce Fordyce and Comrades coach Lindsey Parry.”

To sign up or for more information feel free to visit the Alberton Athletics Club website or Facebook page. For further information you are welcome to call Anton on 084 660 0601.

As a thank you to the loyal support the club has received from the residents of Alberton they are offering 30 per cent off to the first 30 locals that are signing up for the race.
