Alberton Rugby Club trains officials on first aid

Coaches and officials from the Alberton Rugby Club and Alberton Indoor Rugby teams received training on sports, focusing on first aid, on February 27.

According to the chairperson, Danie Putter, this training was to prepare their coaches and officials as they are the first people with who a potentially injured player comes in contact.

RT Training conducted training in the historic Eland Room. This first use of the room for 2021 signifies the goals of growth that the club has.

“We provided them with a training course and certificate that specifically focuses on sports injuries,” said Tobie Joubert from RT training.

According to him, it was important to focus on the injuries related to sports as these are injuries coaches are most likely to experience when they work with the club.
