Alberton’s new coaching dream team
Alberton Rugby Club is proud to introduce the new dream team behind their first team, who they hope will take the team to new heights this season.
The trio of head coach Francois Louw and assistant coaches Anton Vlok and Gert Swanepoel is bringing a wealth of new ideas in line with the goals the club has in mind.
Between the three of them, they have years of rugby experience. They have all played the game they love since they were boys and each of them has at a stage taken the ball in hand for Alberton.
“On the field as a player you learn a lot of lessens,” said Louw. “Off the field you get to see these players develop not only in their rugby but also develop life lessons.”
Vlok and Swanepoel in their way called rugby a passion and said the camaraderie and spirit draw them to the game.
The coaching team is confident in their ability to bring a new outlook to the game as coaches.
“We changed the dynamics completely on how we coach and want our players to play,” said Vlok. “We want our players to be able to compete on the highest level.”
They said this will depend heavily on the hard work of their players.
“We need them to ask themselves what their purpose is, therefore, why they want to play.”
They share the dream the club has to bring club sport back to the forefront and help make Alberton the club leading the way.
With their players, they hope that with hard work and dedication they bring the most out of the young men championing the first team.
“Give your everything, but make sure you leave the field with a smile on your face,” said Louw to the players.
