Alberton Cobras Shotokan Karate Club wins 70 medals in Brakpan
The Cobras Shotokan Karate Club won 70 medals in the South African Shotokan Karate Academy National Championships held in Brakpan.
The Cobras Shotokan Karate Club from Alberton performed exceptionally well at the South African Shotokan Karate Academy National Championships, which were recently held in Brakpan.
The prestigious tournament attracted competitors from 15 different dojos nationwide, showcasing the depth of talent and commitment to the sport.
The Cobras sent 49 competitors to represent them, and their efforts were met with outstanding success. The athletes returned home with 70 medals.
Training sessions at the Cobras Club are at Ascot Mews on 19 Heidelberg Avenue, Newmarket Mondays and Wednesdays. Beginners can join from 17:30 to 18:30, while advanced students train from 18:30 to 19:30.
The club emphasises discipline, respect, and the pursuit of excellence, values reflected in their competitors’ performances.
