Marais Viljoen celebrates first-team netball players’ 50-game achievement in Alberton
Three Hoërskool Marais Viljoen High School netball players were recognised for reaching the milestone of 50 first-team matches during a spirited afternoon fixture against Hoërskool Dinamika.
Three first-team netball players from Hoërskool Marais Viljoen High School were recently honoured for reaching the milestone of 50 matches representing the school.
The special recognition took place during the school’s first-team fixture against Hoërskool Dinamika, with supporters, parents, coaches and teammates joining in the celebration on the courts in Alberante.
The school said the honour was introduced last year to praise players “who through hard work, dedication and pride represent our school at the highest level.” Marais Viljoen added that they are “proud to continue this beautiful tradition and celebrate our players’ milestones in this way.”

The players recognised for the achievement were Kayla Coetzee, Alida van Dyk and Michelle Ferreira.
The afternoon also celebrated the spirit surrounding school sport, with moments shared both on and off the court as the first team took on Dinamika.

“Thank you to all our players, coaches, supporters and parents for your energy and support,” the school said.
The milestone celebration highlighted the commitment and teamwork that continue to shape netball at the Alberton school, while inspiring younger players following in their footsteps.
