Hoërskool Marais Viljoen High School riders shine at SANESA Q3 competition

Hoërskool Marais High School riders impressed at the SANESA Q3 competition with several podium finishes across dressage, showjumping and performance riding events.

Hoërskool Marais Viljoen High School riders showcased their talent and determination during last weekend’s SANESA Q3 competition, earning a number of top finishes across various disciplines.

The school congratulated the riders on their excellent performances and praised their dedication and sportsmanship throughout the event.

“We are incredibly proud of your hard work, dedication and the way you represented Marais Viljoen High School,” the school said in a statement.

Leading the results was Lillian Beckett, who delivered an outstanding performance with four first-place finishes. Beckett claimed top honours in Performance Riding, Prix Caprilli B, Working Riding and Showjumping A2 Speed.

She also achieved second place in Showjumping 2 Phase and Dressage A, third place in Prix Caprilli A and Showjumping A2 Speed, fourth place in Dressage B, sixth place in Showjumping 2 Phase, eighth place in Equitation 80cm and 12th place in Prix Caprilli A.

Carlé Olckers also impressed with a second-place finish in Working Hunter 60cm. Olckers added fifth place in Prix Caprilli A, sixth place in Working Riding Level 1 and 12th place in Showjumping 70cm 2 Phase.

Megan McMaster secured first place in Prix Caprilli A and finished 10th in Prix Caprilli B. Kendra Carver earned seventh place in Working Riding Level 1, along with 14th and 23rd place finishes in Showjumping 70cm 2 Phase events.

Abigail Brown delivered several solid performances during the competition. Brown achieved third place in Prix Caprilli Beginner, seventh and 10th place in Novice Prix Caprilli, ninth place in A2 Showjumping 1m, 13th place in Showjumping 70cm A2 Speed and Prix Caprilli Beginner, 14th place in A2 Showjumping 2 Phase and 25th place in Showjumping 70cm 2 Phase A2.
