Colenco ‘TheeAnaconda’ Bhengu unveils his highly anticipated debut book, The Snake that Came Out from a Womb.

Through his written poems, the Noordwyk resident aims to convey the complexities of human emotions and experiences, inviting readers to journey alongside him through his reflections.

After eight years of introspection and creativity, local poet Colenco ‘TheeAnaconda’ Bhengu has unveiled his debut poetry collection, The Snake that Came Out from a Womb.

The book, published by TheeAnaconda Writes (Pty) Ltd on October 14, is managed by his business partner, Lesedi Modibane, known as Black Modz. It is now accessible to a wider audience eager to explore Bhengu’s unique poetic voice.

Bhengu (28), found his initial inspiration for writing when he first crossed paths with Modibane in 2016. At that time, Black Modz played a pivotal role in encouraging Bhengu to shift his focus away from rap music and instead immerse himself in the world of poetry.

The Snake that Came Out from a Womb by Colenco ‘Theeanaconda’ Bhengu is available on Amazoon, Draft2Digital, and Takealot.

This change in direction has proven to be transformative for Bhengu, as he discovered a profound passion for expressing his thoughts and emotions through the written word.

The nonfiction content explores themes of love, pain, and personal experiences, delving into the art of storytelling. Bhengu aims to convey the complexities of human emotions, inviting readers to journey through his reflections.

“This collection of poems is deeply personal,” Bhengu explained, “as it explores themes of self-discovery and resilience, while also highlighting the often overlooked beauty found in the everyday moments of life. It brutally captures my transition from being perceived as a hated hero to evolving into a beloved villain.”

The journey leading to the release of this debut collection has been a transformative experience for Bhengu, mirroring the evolution depicted within the poems themselves
