38 people were arrested in Yeoville during a weekend crime blitz.
The operation was conducted by members of the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) and the Yeoville SAPS.
“15 suspects were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol while others were arrested for crimes ranging from theft, malicious damage to property, shoplifting, assault, robbery, theft out of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property,” said Constable Thabo Malatji, of the Yeoville SAPS.
According to Const Malatji, most of the suspects are expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon. @JoburgJourno
