Man shot dead in Kensington

One man has been killed in what has been suggested to be a business robbery in Kensington.

A man was shot and killed during a business robbery in Kensington last night.

Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said police officers received a call about an incident at a filling station in the suburb.

“On arrival they found one man lying on the floor. He had sustained a bullet wound.

“The manager said three suspects entered the shop at the filling station and demanded money. They shot one of the customers,” said Const Mashakane.

Paramedics were called to the scene. The man was certified dead.

The suspects took money and fled.

SAPS members are still looking for the suspects driving a blue Mazda with the registration BD 57 YG GP.
