Armed robber sentenced to eight years behind bars

He robbed a man of his cellular phone and cash while the man was walking to work

Armed robber, Randal Fourie, was sentenced to eight years in jail. The sentencing took place at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, August 25.

According to Constable Thabo Malatji, spokesperson of the Yeoville SAPS, Fourie was arrested in November 2013 for robbing a man in Sharp Street, Yeoville. He robbed a man of his cellular phone and cash while the man was walking to work.  Const Malatji said, Fourie made the victim to lie down and threatened him with a knife. At the time, he tried to flee but residents helped to apprehend him and called the police, who arrested and detained him at the Yeoville SAPS. @JoburgJourno
