Paramedics save puppy after it was hit by a car

Upon arrival paramedics found the puppy that had sustained bilateral fractures to the front legs with large open wounds.

This afternoon paramedics from Emer-G-Med were notified of a young dog that had been knocked over and appeared to have sustained fractures to both front legs.

The puppy was knocked over on the corners of Marlborough Avenue and Wordsworth in Lombardy East.

Two vehicles were sent to assist the tiny creature.

Upon arrival paramedics found the puppy that had sustained bilateral fractures to the front legs with large open wounds.

One of the hind legs was also injured.

The puppy’s wounds were cleaned and both front legs splinted.

Once the puppy was made comfortable, Emer-G-Med transported little Rexy to Fourways Veterinarian Hospital.

A kind lady offered to pay for the vet bills. It was also confirmed the pup has biliary.

Rexy will be returned to his owners once discharged from the vet.
