According to the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) a 38-year-old television personality and musician was among eight motorists arrested this morning in Edenvale for exceeding the speed limit by up 60km an hour

The motorists were caught by the EMPD’s speed enforcement unit between 6am and 11am on Andries Pretorius Street

The female television presenter and music artist was caught travelling at 119km an hour and told officers she was late for a flight.

The other motorists arrested were travelling at speeds of between 97 and 123km/h on the stretch of road.

All those arrested were charged with reckless and negligent driving at the Edenvale Police Station.

According to reports all those arrested have since been released on R1 000 bail and will appear in the Edenvale Magistrate’s Court soon.
