A 33-year-old man was arrested on February 21 for possession of drugs.
Jeppe SAPS officers were patrolling in Doornfontein when they saw a suspect in Rockey Street at about 7.30am.
“He was smoking something. When the suspect saw the officers, he threw something away and they became suspicious and stopped,” said the Jeppe communications officer, W/O Richard Munyayi,
“The officers picked up the discarded item and believed it to be nyaope. They searched the man and found two small plastic bags containing the drug and arrested him. He was taken to the Jeppe SAPS and detained,” said W/O Munyayi.
