Apply for an EMM bursary today

If a candidate is successful they will be expected to enter into a bursary agreement with the municipality.

Application forms for the 2017 academic year Ekurhuleni Community Bursary, offered by the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM), have been made available to the public.

Mr Themba Gadebe, the spokesperson for EMM, said the bursary applicants must be willing to study at a recognised and accredited higher education and training institution.

The bursary will give successful applicants the opportunity to study a:

  •  Bachelor’s degree.
  •  National Diploma.
  •  Certificate.
  •  An accredited learning programme.

Individuals wishing to apply for the bursary can collect an application form from libraries and the Ekurhuleni Customer Care Centres.

“The minimum requirement for the bursary is a grade 12 certificate or current matric exam results,” said Mr Gadebe.

He said the applicant should possess a good academic record and a desire to pursue full-time studies. The closing date for the bursary application is on August 26.

If an application for the bursary is late, faxed or emailed it will not be considered.
