Get ready to be blown away by DJ Ser Tequila Prince’s beats that when he performs at the Edenvale City Improvement District’s (ECID) Festival of Lights and Street Carnival.

The lights are back

The Vryburg born DJ Ser Tequila, who has performed in countries in Africa, said that one of his biggest dreams is to share his music with the whole of South Africa.

“My dream is for the whole of South Africa to hear what I can do on the decks,” said Ser Tequila.

“Living and working in Braamfontein, he discovered and fell in love with house music,” said Ms Katy Young, the public relations officer and event coordinator for the ECID.

Blues band to perform at Festival of Lights

Ms Young said Ser Tequila performed his first gig a few years later when he opened for Black Hole at the Rhino Bar in Braamfontein.

Ms Young said since then the DJ has performed at a number of events in various countries, including Angola, Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho and Zimbabwe.

“He has shared the stage with a long list of local, popular DJs including DJ Euphonic, DJ Kent and DJ Fresh. Ser Tequila can be found playing at clubs and gigs around Gauteng,” said Ms Young.

Ms Young said Ser Tequila has opened a company called Deep Evolution and will release a CD in 2017.
