Three suspects were arrested following a shoot-out with SAPS and security officials this afternoon in Greenstone.

The suspects sustained minor injuries during the exchange of gunfire.

Police officials from the SAPS Crime Intelligence, the Gauteng Traffic Saturation Unit and private security companies were following up on information of suspects in the Greenstone area when the shoot-out took place.

The suspects opened fire when officers attempted to stop them.

All three suspects were arrested and firearms and a hijacked vehicle were recovered at the scene.

All police units are sill on scene.
