Residents discouraged from giving gifts to Waste Management Services employees

The City of Ekurhuleni has urged residents not to provide gifts to the employees of waste management services.

The City urged residents not to give them any type of gift, be it monetary or of any other form and especially not alcohol, as this negatively affects the rendering of the services.

Ekurhuleni spokesperson Themba Gadebe said in an unfortunate case where employees harass residents for gifts, residents are advised to get employees’ names and/or vehicle registration number.

These incidents need to be reported directly to the divisional head waste management operations Shirleigh Strydom on 061 432 5378.
