Kensington Lions donates to De Wetshof

The residents requested some assistance with chairs because their hall didn't have any.

Kensington Lions Club answered a plea from De Wetshof Retirement Village’s residents in Kensington.

“The residents requested some assistance with chairs because the hall didn’t have any. As Lions, we are passionate about serving others and giving hope to those in need and we are happy to donate the chairs to the village,” said Tracey Gibbs, Lions president.

The club donated 30 chairs to the village.

Gibbs said this is not the last time they will be visiting the village.

“We are planning on returning and assist where we can,” said Gibbs.

Kensington Lions will be visiting the home again on June 23 for a Father’s Day celebration.
