One-night stand robs unsuspecting fun seekers

“At the guesthouse, the men fell asleep and when they woke up their wallets, shoes, keys and vehicles were missing.”

Edenvale SAPS is investigating a case of common robbery after two men were allegedly robbed while they were sleeping.

Police believe the men were robbed by women they met at a Sandton nightclub.

Captain Jean Olckers, the spokesperson of Edenvale SAPS, said after the men met the women the group booked a room at an Edenvale guesthouse.

“At the guesthouse, the men fell asleep and when they woke up their wallets, shoes, keys and vehicles were missing,” said Olckers.

“The women were nowhere to be seen.”

Olckers urged community members to be careful who they go home with.

“These cases are quite common in other policing precincts,” he said.
