Man gunned down at Elandsfontein Taxi Rank
A murder investigation is under way after a man was shot and killed in broad daylight at the Elandsfontein Taxi Rank. Police urge the public to assist in tracing the suspects.
A fatal shooting at the Elandsfontein Taxi Rank on August 4 has left one man dead, with Bedfordview police appealing to the public for information.
According to the Bedfordview SAPS, the incident occurred shortly after 16:00 when the victim, who was seated in a white Toyota Quantum, was approached by three unidentified gunmen.
The suspects allegedly opened fire with pistols before fleeing the scene in a black Mercedes-Benz.
Emergency services responded, but the man was declared dead on the scene. Police confirmed that 21 cartridges were recovered.

A case of murder has been opened, and no arrests have been made at this stage. The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
