Emergency water supply interruption affects Edenvale residents
The City of Ekurhuleni has reported an emergency water supply interruption in Edenvale due to an electrical trip at the Rand Water Palmiet Pump Station, with tankers deployed in affected areas.
The City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) has informed residents and businesses in Edenvale of an emergency water supply interruption, starting September 29.
The disruption was caused by an electrical trip at the Rand Water Palmiet Pump Station, resulting in low or no water pressure.

Affected areas include:
• Bedfordview, north of Van Buuren, east of the N3
• Essexwold
To assist residents, stationary water tankers have been deployed at the following locations:
• Van Buuren Road, in front of Virgin Active
• Corner of Riley Road and Protea Road
• Corner of Townsend Road and Acacia Road
• Corner of Rotherfield and Penhurst Avenue, Essexwold
The city has not yet provided an estimated restoration time.
The CoE has urged residents not to leave taps unattended during the interruption. Those in low-lying areas are advised to use water sparingly and store it for domestic purposes only.
