In preparation for Mandela Day, the Edenvale Knitwits are calling on the community to help make a difference and spread warmth this winter.

From now until the end of July, the group will be collecting blankets and wool in support of the 67 Blankets for Mandela Day campaign.

Community members can find the Knitwits at Bedford Centre, opposite the Spur, where they’ll be accepting donations.

Visitors are encouraged to donate wool or a blanket—or purchase wool from the Knitwits’ stand to contribute to the cause.

The Edenvale Knitwits will also offer free knitting and crocheting lessons to anyone interested in learning or improving their skills.
