Body retrieved from marshy area at Posselt Park in Bedfordview

Posselt Park is currently a crime scene following the discovery of a body in its marshy swamp.

A body has been retrieved from a marshy area in Posselt Park in Bedfordview.

Jacques Steyn from the Bedfordview Community Policing Forum (CPF) said injuries to the deceased could not be ascertained because of what appears to be a prolonged period in the water.

Blue Hawk Tactical posted about the incident at around 13:00 on its Facebook page and stated that the Bedfordview CPF, security companies and SAPS were at the scene.

It further stated that the area had been cordoned off while fire and rescue services were awaited at the scene in Bedfordview.
