In a post shared online, Mamba Strike Force said the officer lost his life following a shooting incident outside a business on Van Riebeeck Avenue.

The security company added that the South African Police Service (SAPS) is investigating the matter.
A request for comment was sent to Ekurhuleni North SAPS spokesperson Neldah Sekgobela. She acknowledged receipt of the query and said information would be provided once it becomes available.
