Bedfordview learner wins multiple awards across equestrian disciplines
Throughout the year, Reddam House Bedfordview learner and her horse have participated in six SANESA qualifiers and collected four awards.
An enthusiast, Grade eight learner from Reddam House Bedfordview, Victoria-Anne Robinson-Monteiro, has achieved a lot this year.
According to her mother, Jo-Anne, Victoria-Anne has been working hard and training her new competition partner, Mr Fantastic, and she will compete on him and Vision in the Mist in the 2026 South African National Equestrian Schools Association (SANESA) qualifiers.

“Victoria-Anne has worked hard this year in mounted archery and looks forward to representing her school, Ekurhuleni Team and Gauteng province and has moved up to Level 4 for Tower, Tabla and Raid in canter,” shared Jo-Anne.

Victoria-Anne continues to do vaulting at one-star but could not do all the qualifiers due to fracturing her back, as vaulting requires rolling on her back on a cantering horse.
She looks forward to representing her school and province at the 2026 qualifiers, moving up to two-star and competing overseas.

Victoria-Anne competed in six qualifiers over the course of this year and did the following disciplines on her horse, Vision in the Mist:
In-Hand Utility
• Show Jumping 80s
• Dressage a – Novice
• Dressage b – Novice
• Prix Caprilli (Level 5)
• Working Hunter (Level 5)
• Equitation (Level 3)
• Working Riding (Level 7)
Victoria-Anne was chosen to represent Ekurhuleni at Regionals for the following teams:
• Equitation – A team
• Working Hunter – A team
• Working Riding – A team
• In-Hand – A Team

Her awards included:
• Regional Ekurhuleni Colours for Equestrian Core League
• Trophy for first place in the Top 10 riders in Ekurhuleni
• Ekurhuleni Logan Chamberlain Trophy for most versatile rider in Ekurhuleni for Core League
• Certificate for Excellence for Core League

Victoria-Anne was chosen to represent Gauteng province for the following Gauteng teams at nationals, which she rode on October 8, 9 and 10, and received her Gauteng Colours for Core League:
• Core League – Nationals
• Equitation (Level 3)
• In-Hand Utility (Level 3)
• Working Riding (Level 7)
